What is the Charlie Smith Award?

The Charlie Smith Award is named in honor of the late Charlie Smith, founding editor of Access Press. This annual awards ceremony has been held since 2003, offering an opportunity to bring many individuals and organizations together celebrate accomplishments within Minnesota’s disability community-as well as an opportunity to discuss the community’s future goals and needs.

We’re taking nominations for the 2017 Charlie Smith Award Winner!

Part of our annual event is the silent auction fundraiser. We’re now taking donations for this year’s special event, and would be delighted for any donations.  Please contact Dawn, the office manager at (651) 644-2133, or by email at dawn@accesspress.org, if you have anything to donate.  Thanks for the support!

Attend the 2017 Charlie Award Banquet – November 3, 2017:.

For reservations BEFORE SEPT 1st:
$45 per person or $325 for an 8-person table (save $35) in advance.

Reservations beginning September 1st:
$50 per person or $350 for an 8-person table.

Doors Open at 5:30 pm
Silent Auction begins at 5:30
Sit-down dinner & award ceremony at 7:00 pm
