Annually. The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) is seeking
candidates for the position of HIV Prevention Community Planning
Coordinator. This position is responsible for statewide HIV prevention
community planning activities implemented through a community
advisory body to the STD and HIV Section of the MDH.
Minimum qualifications
include a bachelor’s degree and
two years of professional experience in the planning, implementation
and administration in the area of public health programs or a

Mental Health Practioner
Rise Inc, a progressive nonprofit human
services agency is seeking a qualified Mental Health Practitioner
to provide supportive living, transitional housing and recovery
related mental-health services in Anoka County. Our team provides
services to people with psychiatric and often co-occurring chemical-health
problems in self-sufficiency, housing and recovery. We seek a
motivated self-starter with experience in mental health, chemical
health, and familiarity with domestic violence, sexual abuse,
and poverty. This is not a residential program. Qualified candidates
will have a bachelor’s degree in human services, preferably
in social work, and no less than two years mental-health experience
(or combination of experience qualifying as Mental Health Practitioner).
Valid driver’s license, professional writing and verbal
skills required. Background in transitional housing, rental
subsidies, homelessness public-benefits advocacy a plus. Rise
offers an excellent benefit package and training policy. Starting
wage $15.00-$16.50 per hour.

Program Officer
The Jay
and Rose Phillips Family Foundation
The
mission of The Jay and Rose Phillips Family Foundation is to
honor the legacy of its founders, Jay and Rose Phillips, by
continuing the family tradition of sharing resources for the
public good, while exercising leadership and flexibility in
responding to emerging community needs. We currently seek a
Program Officer to conduct the Foundation’s
grant-making efforts.
Responsibilities
include working with foundation staff to assess funding proposals,
analyze agency financial documents, conduct site visits, prepare
staff summaries and recommendations, provide technical assistance
to grant applicants, and monitor grantees’ progress
towards funded projects. The program officer will also work closely
with community leaders and other funders to identify local needs
and promote opportunities for further support and collaboration.
Qualified candidates
will have ten years or more professional work experience in
the nonprofit community, with at least five years of leadership
or management experience, preferably in a grantmaking or contract
management role. A bachelor’s degree
is required, master’s degree preferred in a related field.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and
written skills, exceptional organizational skills, demonstrated
ability to work with a broad range of individuals and groups
to achieve results, assess issues from a systems perspective,
and have a broad working knowledge of the local nonprofit sector’s
