Closed Captioning Benefits are Many
The CC symbol tells a viewer
that a TV show (or videotape/DVD) includes the option to display
captions. Such “closed captioning” allows persons with
hearing disabilities to have access to television programming by
displaying the audio portion of a program as text on the TV screen.
