Presenters from PACER and the MN Dept of Ed. will give info on methods of resolving differences, including conciliation, mediation, complaints, and facilitated Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Participants will be able to do "one stop shopping" on info related to county services, health/wellness, relationships, jobs and job training, leisure/recreation options, guardianship, community inclusion, vacation planning, school transition, social security, home and daily living ideas, residential services, self-advocacy, day program options, augmentative communication devices, respite providers, aging, etc. Day/Time: Mon., 4:30 to 7 pm. Beyond the Baby Blues: Depression During and After Pregnancy

Keynote speaker for the event is Mary Jo Codey, former first lady of New Jersey , whose personal experience with postpartum depression led her to help launch a statewide awareness campaign about it. The all-day conference will feature an Overview of Postpartum Depression by M.D's Helen Kim and Benitya Dieperink. There will also be five workshops by experts in the field. Day/Time: Wed., 9 am to 4 pm, CEUs are available. Evening Presentation: Mary Jo Codey will also do a free presentation for families from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. The retreat is geared to professionals who care for the dying, those who care for a terminally ill loved one, and those who are just plain curious about death itself. The four-day retreat will give participants an opportunity to explore their ideas and feelings about death and to learn new skills that will help them live a more peaceful life, thus experiencing a more peaceful death.
