The mission of the Department
of Health is to protect, maintain and improve the health of all Minnesotans.
This position contributes to that mission by providing leadership,
vision and direction for the Infectious Disease Epidemiology Prevention
and Control Division of the Department. The position reports to the
State Epidemiologist. This is a leadership position in one of the
premier infectious disease prevention and control programs in the
U.S., recognized nationally and internationally for the early identification
of disease outbreaks, research and development of new disease surveillance
methods.
