MCIL “On The Road”

On Tuesday, October 2, 2003, from 6:00- 8:00 p.m. Metropolitan Center for Independent Living, (MCIL) will host an informational session at the Stillwater Public Library.  MCIL's "On The Road" series will provide general information about the function and services provided by MCIL to individuals with disabilities across the seven county metro area of Minneapolis and St. Paul.  The October 2, 2003 session will also provide more specific information about housing and general access issues affecting people with disabilities. Ticket To Work

Do you receive SSI or SSDI?  Would you like to return to work or start work for the first time?  Are you interested in finding out about Ticket To Work and other work incentives?  Register for an information session!  There will be a training and information session this October in Roseville, MN on Thursday 10/23 at the Ramsey County Public Library, 2180 Hamline Ave., N.  Registration begins at 1P and the training will be from 1:15-4:30P.


ADA Workshop

ADA Workshop Advanced information on Reasonable Accommodations & Current Challenges to the ADA Wednesday, October 29, 2003. Held at the Holiday Inn Minneapolis West; 9970 Wayzata Boulevard, St. Louis Park, MN 55426.  For directions please call 952-593-1918. These workshops are sponsored by ADA Minnesota and the Minnesota Department of Employment & Economic Development/Rehabilitation Services. The $40 registration fee covers all materials, breaks and lunch. The charge is to cover basic costs. Registrations will be confirmed via e-mail.  Registrations are limited to 50 per workshop, and a waiting list will be established. Rehabilitation Services staff interested in attending should submit an Agency Training Request form to Tom Stephanie or Pam Manthey.
