The following performances will be Audio Described (AD) for people who are blind or have low vision, or interpreted in American Sign Language (ASL) for people who are deaf or hard-of-hearing.

  • Redhead; 7/17-7/26; ASL Sat., 7/26, 7:00; Rosetown Playhouse at the Big Top Show Tent; Roseville; 651-415-2146; www.rosetownplayhouse.org.  In this musical comedy/murder mystery set in a London wax museum, a wistful young woman becomes entangled in the search for a killer—aided by mystical visions and an American strong man.
  • Zombies from the Beyond; runs thru 8/31; ASL Sun., 7/27, 2:00; Commonweal Theatre; Lanesboro; 507-467-2525 or 800-657-7025; www.commonwealtheatre.org.  A 1950s B-movie turns into a toe-tapping stage musical with catchy tunes, plucky characters and out-of-this-world special effects!

  • Dot and Tot of Merryland; runs 7/11-8/10; ASL/AD Sun., 8/10, 2:00 (ASL also Thurs., 8/7, 12:30); Stages Theatre Co.; Hopkins; 952-979-1111; www.stagestheatre.org.  A new musical based on L. Frank Baum’s companion book to “The Wizard of Oz.”
  • The Mystery of Irma Vep; runs 7/26-8/24; ASL/AD Sat., 8/16, 8:00; Park Square Theatre; St. Paul; 651-291-7005; www.parksquaretheatre.org; $15 to ASL/AD patrons.  Features a sympathetic werewolf, a vampire, and an Egyptian princess brought back to life.
  • Orson Welles Rehearses Moby Dick; runs 7/11-8/24; AD Thurs., 8/21, 7:30; Jungle Theater; Mpls.; 612-822-7063; www.jungletheater.com.  This world premiere offers an intimate, enchanting glimpse into the rehearsal room of the legendary Welles, whose brilliant adaptation of Melville’s book astonished London theatergoers in 1955.
