Emerging Artists Grants

Ten Minnesotans have been awarded $250 grants by VSA arts of MN.  In its tenth year, the program helps individuals take classes, improve their business or marketing skills, or purchase materials to continue their artistic efforts.  Recipients are:  David Almquist, St. Paul, musician; Kofi Kofi Ekanem, St. Paul, high school artist; Tiffany H. Holmes, Westbrook, musician; Nancy Janes, Shoreview, visual artist; Andrea G. Kiley, Brooklyn Park, visual artist; Rufino Lucio, Little Canada, visual artist; June Orr, Hopkins, visual artist; Janice Severson, St. Paul, visual artist; Sunny Sierra, Richfield, potter/sculptor; and Alec Sweazy, Minnetonka, high school keyboard artist.
