Accessible Performances

The following performances will be Audio Described (AD) for people who are blind or have low vision, or interpreted in American Sign Language (ASL) for people who are deaf or hard-of-hearing.

An original site-specific performance in a gutted factory about the journey of a displaced woman from her Turkish/Muslim roots in war-torn Cyprus to England. Discussions on themes of immigration, memory, language and identity follow Saturday shows.

August Wilson's newest play, set in Pittsburgh in 1985, explores the struggles of an ex-convict at war with his past and his present, and the triumphs and trials of a community facing Reagan-era crime and unemployment.

Broadway Bound; runs 5/30-6/29; AD Sun., 6/29, 2:00; Theatre in the Round Players; Mpls.; 612-333-3010; www.theatreintheround.org. Tony Award-winning Best Play about two brothers in 1950 breaking into writing comedy for radio. Their first broadcast hits a bit too close to home.
