Special Education Transition Planning for Successful Employment:

Free Information Sessions

The Minnesota Disability Law Center and the Minnesota Work Incentives Connection are presenting workshops—about special education transition planning and Social Security work incentives—to help students with disabilities be as independent as possible after high school.  For students with disabilities, getting a job is more possible than ever.

Attend and learn how to use special education services for effective work experience and job training—and how vocational rehabilitation services can help people with disabilities obtain and keep jobs.  Participants will also learn about the Minnesota Work Incentives Connection’s services and how to get answers  to questions about government benefits.  Work incentives built into Social Security SSI and SSDI  programs offer opportunities for young people with disabilities to achieve greater financial independence by pursuing education and work.
