2003 LEGISLATIVE SESSION TOPICS Minnesota Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities (MN-CCD) Position Papers Introduction (from Arc MN) The 2003 session
is a budget year. The economic slowdown continues to have a great impact
on Minnesota’s budget. The Minnesota Finance Department, in its November
2002 forecast, estimated a $4.6 billion shortfall in revenue for the
next biennium (July 1, 2003–June 30, 2005). All state government departments
have been asked to prepare budget reduction proposals. |
