Uses the intricate language of Bharatanatyam gestures and ASL (Deaf
actress Nicole Zapko) in the tale about a woman who loves one man’s
intellect and another man’s body—and gets to have the intellectual’s
head transposed onto the muscleman’s body.

deaf dancer to work with the American Ballet Theater. The hearing actors
will “listen” to the deaf dancer who will emphasize movement expression
instead of speaking. Workshops in January, also interpreted, will show
the process of how artists create new work and will present scenes from
the dance theater piece, incorporating participant responses into the
rehearsal process (and providing participants with free tickets to the
